Estate Agents Dorking

Picturesque Dorking and its charming residential villages such as Betchworth, Brockham, Newdigate, Holmwood and Westcott are one of Surrey’s most in demand locations for movers.

This peaceful traditional market town is surrounded by miles and miles of open countryside and rolling hills, but is conveniently situated just a half hour’s drive between Guilford to the west and Crawley to the east, and the M25 just a stone’s through away to the north and London just beyond.

Let Clarendons help you discover Dorking properties. As an independent and local estate and letting agent in Dorking, we know the area and the market inside out.

Dorking Town

This picture postcard market town has changed very little in appearance over the centuries with several of its buildings dating back to medieval times.

With a great selection of independent quirky shops, fabulous coffee shops, restaurants and traditional pubs, as well as two bustling markets, one on Fridays offering a wide selection of food and household goods, and a monthly Sunday market showcasing a mouth-watering array of artisan food, drink, vintage goods and local arts and crafts, a trip to the town centre is always a pleasurable experience.

With Guilford and Crawley close by, residents are spoilt for choice when it comes to retail shopping.

Nestled in the heart of some of the south’s most glorious countryside and AONB’s, Dorking attracts many tourists and cycling enthusiasts and is welcoming place to stop off and enjoy a break and refreshments whilst exploring the area’s natural beauty spots.

Dorking is also proud to claim the great screen legend, Sir Laurence Olivier as one of its sons and you can see the blue plaque at the house he was born at in Wathen Road.

Dorking and its surrounding villages have an excellent selection of good primary and secondary schools, taking students right through to sixth form.

With Crawley College and the University of Surrey in Guildford just a short journey east and west of Dorking respectively, adult and further educational facilities are easily accessible.

Dorking sits adjacent to the A24 London to Worthing Road and the A25 Guildford to Sevenoaks, whilst the M25 is just north of the town.

The town is served by 3 train stations offering a great selection or routes throughout the southeast and into Central London.

Buses run from Dorking to Guilford and Crawley and serve the many surrounding villages and town suburbs.

What are the House Styles in Dorking?

The centre of Dorking and its outskirts are predominately made up of mature housing stock, although over recent decades, there have been many new developments with a good selection of modern family homes being built outside of the town centre and adjoining villages.

Around its leafy rural roads and villages, you will also find a fabulous selection of large individual properties, traditional cottages and country homes.

Clarendons are a refreshing change in lettings market. Clarendons focus on providing service rather than selling their services, working hard to forge good relationships with Landlords and Tenants which makes everything run smoothly. As a landlord Clarendons have saved me time and helped me to provide my tenants with a better service. Clarendon's fees to both the Landlord and Tenant are realistic and reasonable. Thank you.

Mrs Samantha Falconer

We have rented through Clarendons for over a year now. Alex and the rest of the team have been great and very responsive if any issues have arisen. I wouldn't hesitate recommending them to anyone in Reigate or the surrounding areas.

Mr Toby Pocock & Miss Lucy Morgan

Alex was instrumental in ensuring our unit was handed over to us smoothly and was in a rentable condition in the shortest time possible.  He is very knowledgeable and experienced with the Croydon and surrounding markets as demonstrated in his timely and wise advice to us.  Always attentive and responsive, it was a breeze to do business with him and his firm and I rest easy knowing he is available to assist with any concerns that might pop up.  Great job!

Mr Bengti Tan

The Clarendons Property Consultants team have been a Godsend to us.  They are the only letting agents we use as the service they provide is first class and yields results time and again. They are courteous and professional at all times and any queries we may have are promptly taken care of. As Landlords we feel our needs are fully met and we cannot praise this vibrant team enough.

Les and Lorraine Bates

Clarendons have a very professional approach ‎. If there are any questions or uncertain issues they will make sure they are solved quickly. I would highly recommend them. Alex is very helpful cannot thank him enough. 5/5
